Description / Access Information
The Greenhorn reroute splits left from the established Cow Creek connector trail and wraps around the south facing slope keeping the creek to the south side of the trail. This reroute will keep you above the sensitive riparian area the original trail passed through. The reroute connects to the original Greenhorn trail just above where the original trail crossed the creek. From here you can access the the entire Greenhorn system.

This trail is part of the Wood River Trail Coalition Greenhorn Improvement Project in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service - Sawtooth National Forest - Ketchum Ranger District.  Phase one to be completed summer of 2024 will also include removal of the bridges on the original Greenhorn trail, installation of a new bridge, Imperial reroute, and trail decommissioning and riparian restoration.
