Heidelberg Hill - Named after a German hotel that used to operate near the trailhead, this old road provides an up-and-over link to the Adams Gulch system of trails. A stand-alone loop crosses private land to the east and offers great views of Ketchum and down valley.
Because of its proximity to Ketchum, concentrated network of excellent trails, and multiple access points, Adams Gulch is easily the most popular hiking and biking destination in the Wood River Valley. There are many hiking options and the trails connect to the Fox/Chocolate/Oregon trails making it possible to link together epic mountain bike rides.
The main access is at the Adams Gulch trailhead, but there are four more access points from “Hulen Way” and “Sego Lane” in the Hulen Meadows subdivision, Lake Creek, and “Wanderer’s Way” off of Warm Springs Road. Adams Gulch is a great place to explore and have fun in a relatively benign environment. All trails except for Adams Gulch Road and Eve Gulch are closed to motorized use.
