Description / Access Information
Lupine Trail:
This Sun Valley Resort rates this as a beginner trail. It is flow trail open to downhill mountain bike traffic only. The trail is 1.7 miles long and is accessed off of Broadway Trail.

Cyclists riding the lifts can get to this trail by getting off at the top of the mountain and riding over to the top of the Broadway Trail to follow it down to the top of the Lupine Trail. Riders climbing up Baldy on their bikes can also reach this trail. They can climb on the Bald Mountain Trail to the top of the mountain, then access the top of the Broadway Trail to descend to the top of the Lupine Trail. Riders using the Bald Mountain Perimeter Trail #328 (Warm Springs or Cold Springs trails) to pedal up Baldy will climb to a saddle where the Warm Springs and Cold Springs sides of the Perimeter trail meet up, and where the bottom of the Broadway Trail is intersected. Riders will then climb up the lower reaches of the Broadway Trail to get to its intersection with the top of the Lupine Trail.

The Lupine Trail deposits riders onto the lower reaches of the Saddle Up Trail, which then drops to a cat-road that leads to the bottom of the Sun Valley Company's Charilift #3/Christmas Chair. Here, at the Roundhouse Restaurant and the top of the Roundhouse Gondola, riders can get a bite and a beverage, take another lap, or off-load the mountain on the Gondola.
