One of the many configurations and options for rides in this area consisting of multiple trails. The Fox-Chocolate Loop follows the river upstream before heading toward the hills where you will find two climbs and two fun descents.
The route starts by heading upstream along the Big Wood River. Once you get into Chocolate Gulch, you'll turn away from the river and climb up into Chocolate Gulch. After enjoying the view from the top, you will descend through a rocky technical section onto smoother and mellower trails below.
At the bottom, you'll turn right onto Fox Creek loop. From there, you will climb up and over to a classic "smile inducing" descent.
This area is prime for wildflower viewing from late May through late June.
