Description / Access Information
Belle Trail (north):
November 2023, This trail is a new addition to Slaughterhouse Canyon and can be used as a loop connecting to the established Belle trail running along the hillside to the south of Slaughterhouse or as an out & back accessing it from Slaughterhouse road. Belle Trail runs northeast from town as it hugs the hillside to the north of Slaughterhouse Canyon road and gains just enough elevation to give users a nice perspective of the landscape they are passing through. The trail departs Slaughterhouse road about 0.18 miles after the dirt starts then remeets Slaughterhouse Canyon Road at a point that is about 1.8 miles on single track to the east of Bellevue where you can continue up the road until you meet the trail to cross the canyon and continue on Belle Trail (south). Access to Vue 2.0 trail from Belle Trail (north).

Directions: From Main Street/Hwy 75 in Bellevue, travel east on one of the city streets (Elm Street works) to 8th Street. Follow 8th Street north to Slaughterhouse Canyon Road on the right. (Slaughterhouse Canyon Rd. and 8th St. intersect near O'Donnell Park.) Turn right/east on Slaughterhouse Canyon Road. Once you get past the park, and just past Parkside Drive, there is a small parking area on the right. It can accommodate a couple of vehicles, but it's a tight space. Both the south and north Belle Trails are visible from this small parking lot. Access Belle Trail (north) by continuing out Slaughterhouse road about 0.18 miles. The western end of the trail takes off to the north of the road. Other parking options may be available at street-side locations around O'Donnell Park. There are also places to park out the canyon, but some of those locations may not have the most convenient and direct access to Belle Trail.
