Description / Access Information
Silver Lining Trail: Introducing Silver Lining Trail - a beautiful 3.5-mile trail connecting Hailey’s Toe of the Hill Trail to the BCRD’s Quigley Canyon trails.

The BLM has been hard at work, ensuring improved accessibility and enhanced outdoor recreation experiences for our community. The 2023 projects in Hailey and Bellevue are a testament to this commitment (new trails are completed in Slaughterhouse Canyon too).

The process of creating the trails included using a 48-inch wide bulldozer to rough-in the trails. This was followed by precise work carried out by mini-excavator operators to shape the trail's surface, add turn refinements, and install drainage features.

A Big Thank You and our heartfelt gratitude to John Kurtz, BLM outdoor recreation planner, and everyone involved in bringing these trails to life!

Parking Info: When you're ready to explore the trail, please utilize the BCRD Quigley Trails Park or Keefer Park parking lots if you are driving to access the trail. And please drive safely and help reduce neighborhood traffic and parking congestion by parking in the suggested locations.

Directions: Access for the BCRD Quigley Trails Park parking, and access to Silver Lining Trail via the Quigley Loop Trail, is off of Fox Acres Road in Hailey. From Hwy 75, head east on Fox Acres Road for approx. 3/4 of a mile, passing by the Community Campus, High School, ballfields and track. At a large galvanized water tank on the right, at the intersection of Fox Acres Road and the entrance road to the BCRD Quigley Trails Park, turn right. Follow the entrance road in a short distance to the trailhead parking on the right.

To reach Silver Lining Trail from the BCRD Quigley Trails Park TH, follow the Quigley Loop Trail east from the TH. From the parking lot, find the start of the Quigley Loop trail by walking, running, or riding from the paved lot and across the grassy lawn area. (Head toward the red tool shed that is near the paved pump track. Just past the red tool shed, and still on the turf, turn left/east to travel between the paved pump track and the fenced-in dirt-jumps. The Quigley Loop Trail takes off heading east from that area. Pick up the singletrack and follow it east and then south as it bends up the drainage. Look for freshly worked dirt, bearing right to head up the drainage and paralleling the gravel two-track road that leads up in a southerly direction. You are on the new Silver Lining Trail.

Directions: Access for parking at Hailey's Keefer Park is off of Moonlight Drive in Hailey's Woodside neighborhood. Woodside Boulevard runs alongside Highway 75, connecting Hailey and Bellevue. You can get to Woodside Boulevard from the north via Fox Acres Road or from the south by using the intersection where Woodside Boulevard meets Highway 75. This intersection is located about a mile north of Bellevue. Take Woodside Blvd. to Moonlight Drive, which tees into Woodside Blvd. just north of Woodside Boulevard's intersection with Countryside Blvd (Countryside is another road leading off of Hwy 75 to Woodside Blvd.) Take Moonlight Drive east for a short distance as it curves left/north. Parking is available on the east side of the street and adjacent to the park. Parking for the Toe of the Hill Trail is also available at a small dirt lot located off of Laurelwood Drive. The dirt lot is near the northeast corner of Keefer Park and accessed off of nearby Laurelwood Drive.

To access the new Silver Lining Trail via Toe of the Hill Trail from the street side parking at Keefer Park, you can walk, run or ride east toward the Toe of the Hill Trail, picking up the trail in the area that is east of the playground equipment. Taking this path takes you between softball/baseball fields to the south and soccer fields to the north. An alternative way to get to the Toe of the Hill Trail involves following Moonlight north to Laurelwood, then taking Laurelwood to the dirt parking area for the Toe of the Hill Trail. From the small dirt TH lot, you will find a singletrack heading up to the Toe of the Hill Trail. Take the Toe of the Hill Trail north for about 0.2 miles to connect up with the new Silver Lining Trail, which will be on your right.

Let’s Work Together: While the trails are now open, we urge you to be mindful and respectful of the natural environment and other trail users.

Thank you for your patience during the construction phase, and we hope you enjoy the new trails! Share your adventures with us using #bcrd.
