Description / Access Information
Low Hanging Fruit Trail:
This is a beginner flow trail open to bicycles only. One way only.

Low Hanging Fruit Trail was built in 2021 by the Ketchum Ranger District and partners. It is designed to be approachable by those who are new to flow trails, and to those hoping to build on their bike handling skills. It is a good section of trail to practice on before attempting the much more demanding nearby Forbidden Fruit Trail, which is intended for intermediate to expert mountain bike riders only.

To get to the trail from the Adams Gulch Trailhead, ride your bicycle west from the TH. You can take Sunnyside-Lanes, or Shadyside, but the most direct route is to just take the main Old Adams Gulch Road/Eve Gulch Trail 146 out of the trailhead. After 2 miles stay left to stay on the 146 Trail where it meets the #177 Trail (bear left to head up the Eve Gulch portion of the 146 Trail). In about another half mile on the 146/Eve Gulch Trail you will reach another intersection of trails. This is the point where an access trail (open to two-way traffic) can be used to gain the start of the downhill only portion of the Low Hanging Fruit Trail. Bear left and climb up through several turns to reach the starting platform/gathering place at the top of the lower flow trail (top of Low Hanging Fruit).
